Short Korean Stories For Learning Grammar and Vocabulary Words

Updated: Oct 10, 2023

안녕하세요 여러분! Koreanstudyjunkie입니다. Today's post is a Korean reading and listening practice about a short Korean story. The story has 2 point of views of the same person. I have the vocabulary and grammar broken down as well!

[BEFORE YOU START..] I wanted to add that this is not meant for you to listen and read and fully understand everything the FIRST TIME ever that you hear it or read it. Most likely there will be words and grammar that you don’t know YET and it’s designed to help you learn them through context. So I encourage you to use the list of grammar and vocab below these stories and go through the story at least 3 times. Of course, each person is different and some people will come in knowing more words, phrases, and grammar than others. A smaller percentage of people looking at this may know everything the first time through.

STORY POV 1:

STORY POV 2:

MORE ABOUT THIS STORY:

I took this story and the questions from LingQ! In the LingQ app they have reading and listening materials for all levels and among them are these short stories called “mini stories”.

These stories are designed to be very repetitive in order to help you learn the structure of the language, the sentence patterns, and the vocabulary words. I’ve been using them a lot in my tutoring sessions lately.

In LingQ, you can also click on the words to get a definition immediately - there you can also judge how well you know the word whether its new, familiar, or already known - and there is a review system built in.

This is not sponsored by the way! Although I do have a link HERE that you can use to try out Lingq. It’s a paid plaftorm, but you can get 100 free LingQs by using my link. If you do decide that you like it and decide to pay for a month subscription, I’ll get a small commission (about 20%) at no extra cost to you.

In my opinion, It’s extremely worth it. These days, I can’t imagine not having LingQ for my language studies, it’s just SO useful and you can use it for a ton of other languages.

I understand the importance of recommendation letters in the job application process, and it's great that you're seeking advice. While some consider using services like buy recommendation letter, I recommend focusing on authentic endorsements. Begin by identifying individuals who are familiar with your work and can provide sincere recommendations. Requesting a favor rather than purchasing a letter often yields more genuine results. Provide clear information about your goals, achievements, and how their endorsement would contribute. This approach not only maintains integrity but also enhances the value of your application. Best of luck!
