Course Description:

Everything Included In This Course

FYI: This course is mainly created for busy students, self-learners, and lazy people in mind, so you can complete it at your own pace. It's designed to be quick paced while also introducing information in an easy to understand way.

Foundational Course Content 

Lesson #s: 18 lessons

Hours of Learning: about 12+ hours total (45 min class & 1 hr class every other week)

Homework/Practice Sheet Amount: 50+ sheets of practice provided (5-6 a week)

Added Content

Optional Built-In Study Routine 

  • learn how to study Korean outside of class as well

  • accountability & motivation

Hours of Immersion (listening & reading exercises) : approximately 2-3 hours

  • Phone, Tablet, or Computer

  • Instagram (for group call)

  • Google Docs (for guided lessons)

No camera needed

End Goal:

  • make sentences easily

  • talk about basic, everyday things

  • understand a basic level of Korean 

  • ​be introduced to the most common Korean words

 

WHEN WILL THE SEMESTER BEGIN?

Course Start Date: Friday, 30th of August, 2024

Course End Date: Sunday,27th of October, 2024

Class Times:

Fridays > 2:25 pm ~ 3:10 pm (45 mins)

Sundays > 1:45 pm ~ 3:00 pm EST (1-1 hr 15 mins)

  • you don't have to be at every meeting, especially if the time is conflicting for you - the class will be a recap of lessons + extra practice if you want it

Bi-Weekly Call Schedule:

Friday, September 7th (45 min session)

Sunday, September 8th (1 hour session)

Friday, September 20th (45 min session)

Sunday, September 22nd (1 hour session)

Friday, October 4th (45 min session)

Sunday, October 6th (1 hour session)

Sunday, October 20th (1 hour session)

Time Commitment :

1.5 - 3 hours of learning time a week

Bi-weekly class - 45 mins on Fridays, 1 hour on Sundays - 1 hr 45 ins - 2 hrs total

Weekly recap - 30 minutes total (at least 10 mins, 3x a week)

(Weekly recap refers to completing the practice sheets  / homework provided)

Independent study - 30 minutes total - at least 15 mins, 2x a week

(Independent study is time spent outside the lesson doing listening and reading activities I will provide, but is optional)
